These postcard-sized works have evolved over time from experiments with collage into a possible series of ‘portraits.’ They’re often based on a person or character and the traits of that person turn into a starting point for the piece. Materials used include, stamps, acrylic and alcohol based paints, washi tape, gel medium image transfers, found objects, stencils, masks, and free-hand pen and ink.
Structured
It's a floor plan of a chicken coop, how could I resist?
Flood
Look for contradicting feelings of movement.
Buried
Pulling joy to the surface beneath layers of textures.
Wild Wales
I used a combination of stamps and collage to create the sense of a meadow.
Explore

Close up of stencil, stamping texture
Image transfer
Used a toner copy of an architectural city plan and gel medium to create a translucent image to collage with.
Pinned
I wanted to create a similar feel to a specimen board with sharpness of angles and shapes. The gel medium image is from 'A Pattern Language' by Christopher Alexander.
Driven - In progress
A lower layer of acrylic wash and spatter as well as some stamps.
Driven
I wanted this card to have a sense of direction, and a contrast of fixed shapes mixed with more organic lines and gritty texture.
