Technology: HTML5/SCSS, Ruby on Rails custom CMS
Goals/Concept: This site was for Haws’ product line used specifically in extreme situations or locations, so the concept was to create a responsive site with a more rugged look than the main Haws site and provide direct access to products and safety information. Some animation (using wow.js and Animate.css) was used on the homepage to create more visual interest for a technical product. The product details use a custom icon font for flexibility of icon use through the site and future expansion.
Role: I wireframed, designed, and developed front-end layout and styling. Content load and preliminary marketing content for banners/slides were created as well. I also used vector files to add the client’s custom symbols (see Product Details) to a curated icon font. Project launched in less than 3 months.
